Tulips 1

‘Tulips 1’ is a painting of some lovely Tulips I was given. I made a second – Tulips 2 (original I know!) to try a different composition, background colour, marks and strokes. I worked on them at the same time and this one is perhaps the ‘looser’.

I mostly paint first thing in the morning after walking the dog, and paint until I have got the feeling down. Sometimes I’ll keep coming back during the day if something is bugging me, but rarely take them into the next day because I don’t want to lose the energy.
