the ‘nuzzle’ series of paintings

the ‘nuzzle’ series of paintings

The ‘nuzzle’ series explores the quiet comfort of closeness – the way two forms, colours, or feelings can rest gently against each other. Each painting captures that simple, wordless connection we feel when something fits just right, their boundary both a line of separation and a site of intimacy. Who doesn’t like to cuddle and nuzzle?!

Immerse your space in emotion and energy with “Fervour”, “Savour”, “Candour” and “Ardour’ — these striking fine art giclée prints are based on my original acrylic paintings (available if you’d prefer the original painting). These expressive pieces evoke a stormy, elemental landscape, where smoky greys meet intense, fiery orange, calm blues, yellow or pink golden hour skies. They’re moody, modern, and alive with layered texture and feeling.

me and o-Hara

Angie Moyes with o-Hara, an abstract painting in reds and pinks at CamCreatives Artist Show. Called o_hara after Scarlett O-Hara in ‘Gone with the wind because Scarlett embodies women of fierce spirit — passionate, flawed, and unbreakable. A storm of will and longing, it captures the tension between fragility and fire, survival and desire. There’s a little bit of o-Hara in all of us.

the ‘colourama’ series of paintings

Like 'Horizons', 'Colourama's' are always about the juxtaposition of colours - either in the same family, opposites or complementary. How they look together and what happens when they meet, and what happens when the canvas is left bare - how the texture of the canvas...

the ‘falling’ series of paintings

the ‘falling’ series of paintings

What does falling feel like – can I create a painting that gives you the sensation of falling. Does falling start to feel like rising? Does colour change the feeling? This was the thinking behind this series of paintings.

I hate these things...
