Falling into the blue

£375.00

‘Falling into the blue’ is the second in a series of five paintings playing with the idea of falling. This one has a mid blue base with darker blues overpainted. For me it has a strong feeling of being caught up in a current.

Colour has such huge power to change our mood and combined with movement creates a powerful visual feeling. I come to the blank canvas with an idea of the colours I want to use and practise my strokes before diving in. I’ve been practising Tai Chi for a while and enjoy the concentration and stillness that I’m learning to bring into my work.

My intent is that these paintings help you to get lost in a feeling. Like falling.
