Falling into the green

‘Falling into the green’ is the fourth in a series of six paintings playing with the idea of falling. This feels like forest bathing, being under the canopy of spring leaves.

Colour has such huge power to change our mood and combined with movement creates a powerful visual feeling. I come to the blank canvas with an idea of the colours I want to use and practise my strokes before diving in. I’ve been practising Tai Chi for a while and enjoy the concentration and stillness that I’m learning to bring into my work.

My intent is that these paintings help you to get lost in a feeling. Like falling.
