Limerence

Limerence – Sister to love squared. Limerence, a state of being infatuated or obsessed with another person, desiring platonic connection. It’s burning with complete combustion and high efficiency passion so deserves to be in blues. The repeated square shapes draw the eye inward, toward a bright centre that suggests closeness, connection, and emotional intensity. The transition from blues to purples give the painting a sense of warmth and energy, while the uneven edges keep it grounded and human. Rather than telling a story, the painting invites the viewer to sit with the feeling of love as something solid, focused, and alive.
