Pebbles

‘Pebbles’ is a painting reflecting on… pebbles. I have a lot of pebbles. I love the colours and patterns. I love the idea that they were once perhaps spat out from a volcano, broken up in glaciers and took a million years to be ground down into a lovely rounded pebble that will again outlive me by millennia, and that when covered in water take on a whole new colour palette.

I mostly paint first thing in the morning after walking the dog, and paint until I have got the feeling down. Sometimes I’ll keep coming back during the day if something is bugging me, but rarely take them into the next day because I don’t want to lose the energy.
