Conversation: black

This is part of a series called ‘Conversations’.

The first painting in blue and orange was triggered after watching Trump and Zelensky in the White House on TV – it was a bit of a battle of opposites. I wanted to try and show the flow of a conversation and depict the type of conversation with both marks and colour.

My intent is that these paintings help you to get lost in a feeling.

Conversation in black is paced with a strong to and fro, black is winning – they’re a bit of a bully – with a streak of cowardice. I love the power in these marks – despite what I was thinking of!
