L.A. burning: holding back

£225.00

‘L.A. burning’ is a series of painting responding to the terrible fires in L.A. in January 2025.

‘L.A. burning: holding back’ is a painting thinking about how the L.A. started to be covered in a beautiful pink fire retardant after much had already been destroyed.

I mostly paint first thing in the morning after walking the dog, and paint until I have got the feeling down. Sometimes I’ll keep coming back during the day if something is bugging me, but rarely take them into the next day because I don’t want to lose the energy.
