‘Tu-Lip’ is an abstracted response to Tulip 1 and Tulip 2. This also falls into the ‘Colourama’ theme where I play with overlaying colours and powerful shapes and marks.
I mostly paint first thing in the morning after walking the dog, and paint until I have got the feeling down. Sometimes I’ll keep coming back during the day if something is bugging me, but rarely take them into the next day because I don’t want to lose the energy.
